What drew you to yoga?
I found Yoga/Pilates through grief. It became a lifeline when everything else felt overwhelming, a way to ground myself and process loss. Movement helped me reconnect with my body and my emotions, and I knew I wanted to share that experience with others. That’s why I pursued my certification—to create a space where my community could breathe, move, and heal. It started as a deeply personal journey, but it’s grown into something much bigger.
Why do you practice?
Movement is my anchor. Life can feel chaotic, but stepping onto the mat brings me back to my center. It’s a practice of love—not just for my body, but for my mind and spirit, too. Pilates has taught me patience and how to breathe through discomfort instead of resisting it. That lesson extends beyond the mat, shaping how I parent, run my businesses, and navigate challenges. I show up differently now—calmer, more focused, and more intentional.
What is your style?
My teaching style is intuitive, grounding with a little spice. I focus on flow, breath work, and meeting people where they are, creating a practice that feels accessible and empowering for everyone.
Where are you when you’re not teaching?
When I’m not teaching, I’m at Rooted Wellness managing the studio or building my other businesses. Outside of work, I’m with my son, Josiah—he’s my heart and my biggest “why.” We love exploring, trying new things, and just being together. In my quiet moments, you’ll find me journaling, meditating, or planning my next project.
What illuminates you?
What truly illuminates me is connection—whether it’s with my son, my community, or the individuals in my classes. I’m fueled by growth and inspired by the small, transformative moments when people step into their strength and find peace. Those moments remind me why I do what I do and make everything worthwhile.
