Unique sequencing...
while grounding you in the present moment.
What drew you to yoga?
I found yoga at the mere age of 13 in the aisles of Target. I stumbled upon a Rodney Yee DVD and my younger self was charmed by his good looks (no shame). I figured all the cool kids were doing yoga so naturally I had to try it out too. I struggled through that DVD for months but was amazed by how good it felt to move my body. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Why do you practice?
I practice because it’s the only thing that makes sense. I’m drawn to the constant exploration and discovery that happens on my mat. Plus it minimizes my road rage.
(Life+) How does yoga change you off the mat?
Yoga has given me true confidence to be fearlessly myself. It’s taught me so much about compassion, love, trust, acceptance, and patience (although I’ve still got a lot to learn on this one).
What is your style?
Slow and intentional, a balance between simple and elevated movements.
Where are you when you’re not teaching?
When I’m not teaching I’m probably taking a class, hiking or climbing, drinking a local beer, giving Thai Yoga Massages, or sleeping.
What Illuminates you?
Deep breaths, long hugs, Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace, holding hands, and those gooey post savasana feels.
